It's the middle of Nov and as we walk back to the Luminy the temperature is dropping, fast. Its so cold and crisp you can almost touch the
air. Well it's been another awesome day in the Calanques, yet
again I'm wondering why I left it so long before I started climbing
here. For anyone who likes to climb on limestone the Calanques
has everything 'caves, steep walls slabs, sea cliff's or even
long multi pitch routes in a mountainous location'. And yes the
weathers good, with a stunning view of the Med and on the warmer
days a swim is all too tempting.

Some
of you may have been put off by stories of car theft. Well don't,
with a little care and a bit of common sense I've managed to climb
here every November over the last 4 years with no problems and
now with cheap fares to Nimes & Marseille everyone should
consider a week over the winter months.
